Dr. Roy opened Piedmont Neurosurgery & Spine, PA in June 2001. He received his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine, completed his neurosurgical residency at New York University, and did a spine fellowship at the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Roy was among the select few that recently received prestigious recognition as one of “America’s Top Surgeons.”

Rhonda S. Elliott, PA-C
Rhonda is a graduate of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program in Winston Salem, NC. She received her initial NCCPA certification in October, 2001. Upon certification she joined the Piedmont Neurosurgical and Spine staff in January, 2002 and has worked along with Dr. Roy treating patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Rhonda graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and minor in Secondary Education. As a Congressional Teacher Scholarship recipient, she taught high school biology at East Rowan High School for ten years before becoming a Physician Assistant. Rhonda is married; has one child; and enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
